We moved to Copenhagen not knowing where we were going to live, how many bedrooms we would have, if there would be storage, if we would have a balcony – it was all up-in the-air. So we packed light. And sadly, I don’t shop here. When you live in one of the 5 most expensive cities in the world, you look hard at what you already have. You, my dear sister, are the Queen of doing this. My favorite might be your version of the “the stick”. But it’s a good tip for anyone, right? That’s one reason why I love all the things we share here.
Anyway, so here we go…I bought these cute little (inexpensive!) boxes a while back to use as storage in our bathroom. They have proven to be very handy, but it turned out that the lids were better suited as wall art. I love the 3 dimensional look of canvas art and this was a very inexpensive way to get it! You could also use a plain box and cover it with paper for the same effect.
I wanted a peg board above my sewing table and was about to buy one when I remembered I had some empty frames sitting in the corner of a room. I added a colorful fabric backing and put the mat over the glass to create holding places. I have added photos, scraps and a few magazine cut-outs of crafts I want to do with the girls.
Jars. Don’t you love them? I love them and I use them and reuse them more than anything else. This selection of jars, I covered in floral paper because otherwise it looked like I had applesauce and jam sitting next to my sewing box.
